Movie summary for cave people

This is a reboot of batman franchise that don’t take place in DC cinematic universe, it’s an elseworld story, this one is more grounded to the classic batman was all about, being a detective. Matt reeves really put his heart in this story and direction, we’ll talk bout plot like keypoints in the later parts of article, but a summary or nutshell would be that batman is trying to find with the help of officer gordon, a masked vigilante who is killing society high figures while trying to find who he really is.

What is this movie? How it’s different from the other installment and why it’s the best?

This is another batman tale which is more grounded and focus on the detective part of being batman and it is told by god’s favorite matt reeves, now if you are a batman fanatic like me or even care bout superhero movies you must know that there are many iteration of batman in the past decades and century in literally every media that exist but in this we’ll talk bout specific movies.

Now there were many actors who tried(some succeeded some did not) to bring justice to this character on the big screen

Why we have to know?

Cause all the iterations told different sides and focused on different aspects and we need to know bout it, to realise how the Batman(2022) was different.

Batman and Batman Returns

The first one was Michael Keaton(the sharp left one in the picture) with Tim burton as director they made two movies in 1989 and 1992 the both movies was gem according to me, the theme was gothic just like the style of Tim Burton and I loved it, it was classic with batman trying to stop menace no very deep meaning shit in this on just good old action and a lot of batman.

Batman forever

Next in the line to play the cape crusader was Val Kilmer(the sharp right on this picture) with the director Joel Schumacher now this one was different I don’t remember much bout this one(except Nicole Kidman I LOVE Kidman) and Kilmer killed as always also it was produced bout burton so yeah claps again the plot was focused on stopping enemies no deep meaning shit.

Batman & Robin

Sadly the WB didn’t liked making good movies so they gave the reign to George Clooney(beside kilmer on this picture) and director Joel Schumacher in 1997 and this one sucked so bad I wanna forget bout it. I saw this when I was fucking 7 and that time I didn’t even knew the concept of hating a movie this movie taught me the concept, I only liked Uma Thurman in this one also fuck you Clooney and WB.The plot was shit just remember that.

The Dark Knight Trilogy

Now I don’t think so y’all want introduction to this classic masterpiece. Bale(Center on this picture) and Nolan together made this Picasso of superhero movies. Everything about this was fucking great.But it was more focused on villians more rather than the dark knight more.

Ben Affleck’s Batman in DCU

Now this iteration was portrayed by Ben Affleck(beside Keaton on this picture) was directed by mostly Zack Snyder in DCU and once by josh whedon in his justice League cut now I find this one decent all the above iterations was bout fighting crimes and saving Gotham from the Villains, but in this Batman is more of superhero who fight supervillains and try to kill superman not grounded but yeah fun for me at least.

Lego’s Batman

Now this is by far best adaptation,voiced by will arnett and directed by Mckay. This is a gem,Lego batman rules. Give this a fucking watch!

Why this one is my favorite and best?

Well first of all the all the above iteration wasn’t my batman i mean when all the above above iteration released i wasn’t concious enough to go in depth of this character and now this movie being released when i was 18 and me being able to think bout it and nerd bout it. this was the best thing to call mine and also tone of this movie is Grungy, punk gothic but in a grungy way and emo(I was emo once) different from the iterations which was more typical superhero fight villian bam bam except Nolan trilogy and Affleck. but not even Affleck and bale iteration focused on being the classic cape crusader which is being a detective and this movie does it in such a fucking awesome way. Also it’s not an origin story like batman begin or batman(1989) but it focus on the batman in his early age second year to be precise he still rookie and don’t understanding anything of things he do. We’ll call him vengeance rather than batman cause he doesn’t know the true meaning of being batman in the movie. Which I fuckin loved, and we’ll go in depth of it with all the points how he is not batman.

Now I am not gonna talk bout the whole plot cause then it’ll take all night and I can write a whole book bout this also it’s more focused on vengeance himself.

He is not Batman or Bruce Wayne but Vengeance.

Vengeance

the act of doing something to hurt someone because that person did something that hurt you or someone else.

In this scene above he is trying to enter in the lounge to interrogate penguin and he just fucking barge in like a menace taking all the goons and grabbing all the attention he specifically asked the goon at the entry if he knew who he is, now at the starting of the movie you hear a monologue where he is talking bout how he wants to be fear which mob lynchs villains fear about he don’t even care if the general public end up fearing him in the process or not he just want to be known as fear by any brutal way which will stop crime even before starting, and in this scene above you see him asking to show he is the bad news which is definitely not batman type thing but more vengeance, in this whole movie he thinks he is trying to bring justice by any means even if it cost other people’s life for example in the highway chase with penguin he didn’t even flinch when he let all the trucks and vehicles with innocent civilians inside was dying, he cared more bout capturing penguin rather than innocent lives for him this was the only way for justice which is not alot batman, for him being vengeance is the only way to bring justice or any result for greater good he adopts this identity so much that he evens forget he is more than vengeance he is Bruce Wayne too, He wants to be the vengeance of Bruce Wayne by forgetting he is Bruce Wayne he wants to hurt others in the name of justice he wants bring pain to the people who hurt others or sometimes to those who didn’t even hurt other, he have this false persona of bringing justice which fuel his rage and harm others, now for people who doesn’t know Batman care bout bringing justice without hurting others even the enemy in the process, he can’t risk lives of other not even his biggest foe.

He is a Hypocrite.

Hypocrite

A person who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives.

Now y’all must be wondering why i am calling batman a hypocrite,But i am calling vengeance a Hypocrite not Bruce or the concept of batman that is yet to be born. Vengeance is a hypocrite his whole motive to bring “Justice” is based on the “feeling” of loss, he pull his punches break the bones to never let any another being to be go through the same feeling he once been through but in his hypocritical pursuit of justice made him forget the real the reason of his pursuit and made him forgot the worst, the feeling of being alone again. now in the above scene his meeting with falcone in the funeral of late mayor, falcone talks bout how Thomas Wayne saved his life and how he is grateful to him and Bruce counter how his father was just following a hypocritical oath he took as a medical professional to treat any patient with equality and not caring bout their past deeds, Bruce is implying how his father hypocritical oath is the sole reason he helped falcone even after knowing how notorious mob boss falcone is. but it’s up to you guys to decide whether Thomas ’s oath is hypocritical or not but i am gonna imply how vengeance calling his father’s professional oath hypo critic in nature while being a man who is following the real hypo critic oath he took all by himself the hypocritical oath of “Justice”, a justice he seeks for himself while masking it in the name for the public justice. he will seek it by doing any means possible while saying the no gun policy, he call let people die in car crashes made happen by him he can push mobs off buildings and turning an eye but he will still say no to guns, if that’s not the real hypocrisy then what is?

He is fear vengeance but not batman

He forgot the pain.

Pain

Mental or emotional suffering; distress.

I told you on the above points how he forgot the idea of he is Bruce too and with that idea he keep forgetting that he is not alone like vengeance. Alfred is with him too, he have people who cares about him and be there for him, now everyone knows batman works alone cause he care bout others and don’t want others to get involved in the process of his work and meet with an accident. but vengeance in this case works alone too because he does not care bout others whether of them getting hurt or not, he will try to save you if you are in pinch but you won’t be his first priority he will rather run to seek his justice rather than saving you unlike batman. Now he Isolate himself because he doesn’t think bout others even his loved ones which bring us to the main thing of this point he forgot the feeling of being alone and going through the loss again, he forgot he still has someone to be there for them alfred in this case, he forgot that he can lose him while trying to save “others” and forgot the real pain of meeting the same fate again for what he is fighting for, like in the above scene you can see how riddler bombed the wayne tower while alfred was there and vengeance out in his pursuit seeking penguin his ignorance not only made him forgot that the riddle could be connected to his other persona bruce wayne and the moment he realised it was too late,the bombed triggered and alfred had to pay, his staff was calling him but he forgot that he is bruce too while he was vengeance.

He is Trying to Become Batman.

At the end of the movie,vengeance realized he needs to be more than vengeance,he needs to be hope, which gotham needs at that time while gotham drown in water and chaos, the journey won’t be easy in the path he is going to follow. new foes will target gotham and only batman can stop them and we’ll be there to watch his ascend to be one of the greatest character written in fiction.

Now i know you might be confused what the fuck is this guy talking bout nerding out like a geek and you must be cringing while i was referring him to vengeance but if you have to see him personas as indiviuals like how he do to himself and see how he is more focused on vengeance and not accepting his other personas, most of you didn’t even get the points if you haven’t consumed much batman media but at the end if you want to get the idea watch most of these movies i talked bout before the batman(2022) you’ll get the gist if you focused on the elements i talked bout during the watch or play arkham series i revisited those games during the period of this article i was writing, i finished goddamn arkham asylum in one sitting and arkham city in 2 sittings lol fucking enjoyed every minute, still playing Knight and origins during the first draft(08-02-24) also if you want to know more bout batman early years like how he was during his early age of being a new young batman, play batman arkham origins after asylum and city and before knight.i wanted to write more but when i revisited this movie,i was going through a severe headache,so like slept on the idea for this article on that day and forgot some points i was gonna point out,but most of the above points are the main stuff,i’ll update this article in future when i’ll revisit this movie again with more points and easter eggs. at the end i love batman it’s the best character with spider-man i know it’s like so basic but most common bout them is that we can relate to them in the most humane way,that’s why it’s make them the best.
